The following are links to various companies who build message boards.  As we find more, we'll add them here.  Comments about some of the companies are below

• Daktronics
  You see these in a lot of arenas and stadiums as well as on highways and some businesses.  They make good products, but video is expensive
• Trans-Lux/Fair Play
  Trans-Lux bought out companies like American Sign and Indicator and Fair Play.  These were some of the biggest names in the business until the early 90's and this company produces some very nice systems.
• Nevco
  Nevco has begun getting into the message board game after years as a scoreboard maker.
• WatchFireSigns
  You're like to have seen these signs attached to businesses and malls.  Less likely in the sports arena, they are a leader in the business.

  A board to keep score with, some of the original companies include Fair Play, Naden and Nevco.  Only the latter still remains in business under its original name
